The new Customs Tariff of Ukraine has been approved. The changes will come into force in July!
The nomenclature of the Customs Tariff of Ukraine has been updated on the basis of the actual version of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System 2017 edition, which contains 233 changes.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law “On the Customs Tariff of Ukraine” (based on the draft № 3228of March 17, 2020), which will enter into force on July 1, 2020 if signed by the President and promulgated.
Of the 233 changes:
- 85 relate to the agricultural sector;
- 45 – chemical industry;
- 35 – machine-building industry;
- 15 – textile industry;
- 13 – forest sector;
- 8 – transport;
- 6 – ferrous and non-ferrous metals;
- 26 – other industries.
In fact, the law specifies only the codes and descriptive parts of some goods and notes to product groups. Import duty rates remain unchanged.
